GM: Emma Litton

I first found out about Emma from The Fiercest Lilliputian vintage fashion blog through Instagram. You know one of those click on one photo then another, then another. And I remember seeing one photo and thinking it was an actual vintage photo, but it wasn't! So naturally I had to check out this gal's blog and what a vintage fashion treat! Emma does such a beautiful job of looking authentically vintage yet not looking like she's wearing a costume. She's also got some of the most gorgeous vintage inspired hairstyles (and tutorials on her blog!). Read more about her and check out her vintage shop picks! Bravo + j'adore!

Hello, what is your name? Emma Litton

Where do you reside? I live in Nashville, Tennessee

How old were you when you started to love and adore vintage? I have loved vintage since I was a child. My Dad used to watch old movies with me when I was young (we didn't have cable) and I came to think of that as my norm for beauty. I just liked vintage things more than new things.

Which era of vintage do you love the most and why? I really like the 20's through the 60's, but I have a soft spot for the 40's.

Which vintage Hollywood icons inspire you the most? Ginger Rogers, Carole Lombard, Katherine Hepburn, Ava Gardner and Carmen Miranda.

Please share a vintage beauty tip with us: Red lipstick jazzes up any outfit, even if you aren't wearing any other make up. It instantly adds glamor and makes you feel good about yourself.

You have some incredible vintage inspired hairstyles, how long does it take you to do your hair? It takes any where from 5 to 30 minutes for me to style my hair. If I do a wet set or hot set it takes time to actually set the hair, but the styling usually doesn't take long at all.

In your blog posts you were blonde and now you're a brunette (equally gorgeous colors on you!) What made you want to change your hair color? Well, I've actually gone from red head, blonde, and brunette several times over the last couple years. This particular change was because I had a lot of damage from the bleaching it took to get to blonde from black hair. I needed to give my hair a break, so going back to a brunette color seemed like a good choice.

Tell me about your favorite vintage garment in your current possession. Why do you love it and how did it come to you? My favorite vintage garment is my 50's wedding dress. I purchased it from an etsy seller, etsy is so great when you're searching for a specific vintage garment. It was completely perfect and exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I don't think any other vintage item will ever hold such a dear place in my heart.
