French Girl Style: White Blouse

Why are white blouses eponymous with French girl style? I think a classic and feminine white blouse is a must for every French girl's wardrobe. Like there's probably a checklist somewhere that I really need to get a hold of! If I find it I will GLADLY share with you. 

So something I have noticed with the "French Girl White Blouse" wardrobe staple is that it perfectly balances TAILORED and FEMININE. It's never boxy, stiff, or too oversized. It always fits really well across the shoulders, the neckline is never TOO LOW, but just low enough for a bit of a tease. The fabric always looks, moves, and feels lovely.
