What is the definition of vintage clothing? To put it simply, we consider something is vintage if it is 20 years or older. Vintage clothing can be anything from a 1920s beaded flapper dress to a 1990s rayon floral maxi dress here at Adored Vintage.

We take great care to describe all of our items to the best of our knowledge and provide several clear photos of each of our products.

Most vintage clothing we sell is preloved and preworn and very rarely will we come across something in Mint Condition (nearly brand new, does not appear to have been worn at all). Vintage clothing means it is atleast 20 years or older, so they will be more fragile than new clothing, and should be worn with care. Any garment that is an antique garment (atleast 80 years or older by our standards) should be worn with absolute care and carefully and properly stored. Here are our guidelines for the condition of vintage clothing we sell.

MINT - Like new. Likely never worn or used.

EXCELLENT - Shows normal wear expected for age, but nothing easily visible.

GREAT - Shows normal wear expected for age of garment, usually easily repairable and does not detract from wear.

GOOD - Has some obvious visual problems. Garment is still wearable and flaws can be repaired.

FAIR/STUDY - These vintage clothes may have several flaws but are still wonderful for study, repurposing, or drafting a pattern.
