Is there anything more quintessentially French than a red striped Breton top? Me thinks not! Well..perhaps a beret, but apparently true French girls don't even wear them. I don't really care if it's slightly frowned upon in France, I love berets and will continue to rock them probably till I'm old1
Anyhow, this casual weekend French inspired outfit is so simple and cute. The trick with getting the right French look with these classic striped tops is to make sure your top isn't too fitted. There has to be an ease and casualness to the fit, more relaxed, but still tailored and a bit feminine.
