Oh goodness, it's a brand spanking new year dearies and this is my very first blog post of a brand spanking new decade! I didn't really have any sort of plans on what to post, other than I felt like doing a blog post today of the happenings around the Adored Vintage brick & mortar shop here on a rainy, drizzly, grey January day. Maybe you're asking yourself how's our little vintage women's clothing boutique doing in Portland. Ahhh... time will tell. But so far, we're having a lot of fun as these photos may suggest. (Isn't this photo of me...

So Soon! Adored Vintage SOFT Opening!

Time has been an interesting companion these past few months. In many ways it seems just like yesterday that I chanced upon the availability of our new shop location (it was in early August) then signed a lengthy lease... and then WHAM BAM WIPPITY WHOA my world kind of turned topsy turvy. Not a complaint, but goodness, I am facing this Saturday of our soft open with a glad heart and a giant sigh of relief that all the restless nights are coming to a close. Things will get back on schedule... you see I like schedules. I like lists. I...

Keep Calm & Carry On: A Brick & Mortar Update
Publié par RODELLEE BAS le
If I were to tell you I've now reached Master Yoda Level at multitasking, I would not be lying to you, I wouldn't even feel like I was being facetious. As someone who is often quite hard and critical of herself I wanted to take this moment to pause and pat myself on the back because the amount of work, phone calls, and juggling of people, schedules, and budgets I have had to do (and will need to continue doing for the next several weeks) would crush most people. It would have crushed me 2 years ago. Every season that comes and...

One of the reasons we love living in Portland are the numerous small farms close to the city that allows you to pick seasonal fruits and vegetables (and also flowers!). Today, we headed out to Sauvie's Island, a small island just north of Portland with beautiful pastoral landscapes. We stopped at a small U-Pick your own fruit orchard and pears are in season.

A Saturday at the Portland Farmer's Market
Publié par ADORED VINTAGE le
If you are ever visiting Portland, Oregon and you're wondering what to do on a Saturday morning, may we suggest visiting the Portland Farmer's Market at PSU? There are actually quite a few Portland Farmer's Market, but the one in the SW promenade near the university is one of the larger ones and quite the gathering place and wonderful for people watching. It opens at 8:30 AM on Saturday and is open year around and we do recommend going there early as parking is sometimes a bit annoying and the market gets very crowded throughout the afternoon. We love browsing all the...
