Inspired By: Romantic Ruffle Top

When I set to start selling modern vintage inspired clothing at Adored Vintage, it was very important to me that my shop did not look like a vintage costume store. Or that the modern vintage inspired clothes I carried looked too cutesy or novelty.

I draw so many inspirations and have so many references in my head for all the different clothes I source for Adored Vintage that I thought I would start sharing them with all of you in this new blog segment!

The Sweet Jane Top was very much inspired by this eyelet lace ruffle top that Jane Birkin is wearing in this photo. I remember coming across this photo several years ago and always loved how effortlessly feminine her look was. I loved that she wore eyelet lace and it didn't look too precious. 

While this romantic vintage inspired top isn't white cotton eyelet, it evokes the same effortless feminine feeling with just a hint of romance.
