I have a soft spot for any modern dresses that evoke vintage Edwardian dresses like this cotton eyelet lace dress. The trick to wearing it without looking too bridal (because it can easily go there...obviously, white long dress!) is to pair it with flat shoes or sandals. You could do espadrilles that aren't too high and in cooler weather pair with worn in vintage lace up boots. I think dresses like these worn with dressy strappy heels look really odd.
